Coordinator of Educational Public Services

The Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) is seeking a full-time
staff member to fill the newly-defined position of Coordinator of
Educational Public Services. The person in the position should
have excellent writing skills and bilingual proficiency (at the
educated native speaker level)-- grammatically correct speaking,
reading, and writing. Proficiency in Wordperfect is needed. The
employee also must be able to draft budgets that correspond to
projects proposed in the grants. B.A. required; graduate degree
preferred.

The employee will review guidelines, prepare proposals and compose
performance reports for major funding agencies (e.g., U.S.
Department of Education, USIA, NSEP). He/she will
coordinate/supervise the outreach activities of the Center for
Latin American Studies (e.g., K-12 teacher activities, film
series). The employee also will be in charge of institutional
exchanges with Latin American universities.

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a completely
bilingual professional. The position is currently open.
Interviews will begin in May and conclude when the position is
filled. Salary range: $23,460 to $33,000, depending on
qualifications and experience.
