Question on Asamblea de Barrios support for Cardenas

A friend is in the last stages of preparing an article for publication, but is
in europe, and hence away from sources that could confirm the following
question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"Is it appropriate to say that the Asamblea de Barrios continued to support
Cardenas through the 1994 election? That is, did the support of the Asamblea
continue to be as clear as it was in 1988?"
