The program will be a new model in undergraduate Study Abroad which
encompasses interdisciplinarity with area and cultural studies.
Duke-in-the-Andes will offer a set of courses under the general topic of
Latin American cultural studies. Two core courses are especially
designed for this program, and participants can select the remaining two
courses from regular Latin American Studies courses offered at the two
host universities. The program will create the conditions for
interaction between American and Bolivian students.
Highlights of the program will include team-taught courses and field
trips to the highlands near Lake Titicaca.
Duke University welcomes applicants from accredited colleges and
universities.
