Dear listmembers:

We would like to inform you of the following additions and
changes on UT-LANIC.

1. On the Web server, we have added a page which includes
links to dozens of news sources on the Internet. The "News
and Newsgroups" page is located under the "Latin America
General and Topical Information" section on the LANIC Home
Page.

2. We have implemented a new WAIS gateway which allows
LANIC's WWW users to conduct full-text searches of data
bases housed on our server, as well as the hypertext links
on the server. To use the WAIS gateway, go to the bottom of
the Home Page, enter your keyword in the box, and either hit
return or click on the "Search this Server" button.

3. Home pages for several countries in South America and the
Caribbean have been added or redesigned. A complete listing
of these changes can be found under the "What's New" item at
the top of the Home Page.

4. The Castro Speech Data Base, located under "Cuba" on the
WWW and Gopher servers, has been updated to include items
through the end of 1994.
