Again Comrade Martel defends his SOA by pretending there never was a Cold
War. His suggestions that drug criminals and insurgents are one
conspiratorial force for EVIL reminds me of arguments I heard down in
Georgia during the more frigid days of that Cold War. This should
provide us some hope, because it is just such arguments that doom the SOA
as a school for Cold Warriors - if the institution is to last, it will
have to develop into what he claims it has been, and gradually move away
from its past role as a place where elites in the military build personal
cliques that are useful to the CIA and Death Squad operators.
