We (Birmingham-Southern College's Latin American Studies Program) received
the "green light" from a funding institution to submit a full grant proposal
for a technology workshop on campus to be held during our Fourth Annual Latin
American Studies Symposium (April 18-19, 1996). This grant will provide
funds for two speakers to visit our campus and share their experience
with the use of technology resources in Latin American Studies.
We are particularly interested in inviting a librarian who is very
knowledgeable of internet resources in LAS and an LAS faculty member who has
incorportated this technology into classroom use. These two speakers will
lead the workshop.
The grant provides for transportation, room & board, and an honorarium.
