I am working on a review of recently published Ecuadorian research
on the Ecuadorian Liberal Revolution of 1895 and its leader,
Eloy Alfaro. I would be interested in hearing from any of you that
are be doing research in this area of history.
I would also be interested in finding out if anyone is doing work on the
relationship between 19th century "radical liberal" ideology in Latin
America and the "neoliberal" reform movement of today. I have been
unable to find anything focused on this subject in the published literature
in the U.S.
