I am doing research on the surviving veterans of the Abraham Lincoln
Brigade, made up of Americans that volunteered to fight the Fascists
during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). My mother was a victim of the
Franco regime in Spain, and one of the purposes of this research is to
say a personal thanks to those brave men and women that left the comforts
of America and risked their lives so the people of Spain may preserve
their freedom. If anyone has any information that can share with me,
specially about veterans currently living in or originally from the Upper
Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, or Iowa), please contact me
