Outreach Coordinator Position

The Latin American Studies Consortium of New England (LASCNE) seeks to fill
the position of Consortium/Outreach Cordinator (80% time). This position,`
based at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, will coordinate the shared
education and public outreach programs and extra-curricular activities
(lectures, workshops and conferences) of the four members of the Consortium
(the Universities of Connecticut and Massachusetts, Brown University and Yale
University), and will act as liaison among the members. Duties will also
include assistance in grant proposal writing and collection of program data.

This professional position at the University of Connecticut (UCPEA VII) with
benefits is grant funded for one year and renewable for up to three years.

Minimum qualifications: M.A. in any academic discipline with a focus on Latin
America or equivalent professional experience related to Latin America,
excellent command of written and spoken English, working knowledge of Spanish
and/or Portuguese, computer skills and willlingness to travel within the
southern New England region.

Salary: Mid Thirties.
