International SalsaWeb Convention
April 29- May 2, '99

Salsaweb Magazine, would like to invite you to visit Washington,
DC this year to celebrate the International Salsaweb Convention.
The convention will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC,
from Thursday April 29, until Sunday May 2, 1999. This four-day event,
organized by "dancers for dancers" will be composed of the world's top Salsa
competitors, best dance performances, workshops, showcases, bands and
orchestras.
The International Salsaweb Convention will be attracting an average of
1000 people each night from over 15 different countries and 10 different
cities of the USA. Most of these people have been involved in one of the
hottest
Latin dance styles, Salsa.
During the day, the convention will offer exciting beginning, intermediate
and advanced music theory and dance workshops, a world-class dance
competition, as well as casino rueda instruction and a special class on
Instructors training.
At night, everything transforms into elegant and well-choreographed dance
performances by some of the world's best dancers representing the USA,
Europe, the Far East, Latin America and the Caribbean. Following each
nightly performance, there will be dance parties where everybody mingles and
dances to today's and yesterday's best salsa music from New York,
Puerto Rico and Colombia.
The Salsaweb Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday night. It is
designed to
empower those who's passion for the Salsa music have contributed to
maintaining and
promoting the Salsa movement in the world.
