Source: UN, Women Indicators and Statistics Database (WISTAT), 1994.
*Notes: The enrollment ratio by age goup is different from the gross enrollment ratio in that it displays the percentage of children of the specified age in school, irrespective of the grade level.
The Female-Male Differential is calculated by subtracting the male enrollment ratio from the female; a negative value reflects a lower ratio for women than for men.
Regional averages are weighted averages using populations in the respective age groups.
