[Text] The session of the National Assembly of the People's Government
[ANPP] has concluded following important remarks by Fidel during the
discussion of the bill on the single economic-social development plan for
1987. Our commander in chief referred to the measures that we must take and
adopt without affecting the country's development and affecting public
consumption as little as possible.

Discussion was completed on the report submitted by the steelworking
ministry during the ANPP's morning session. The critical and profound
statements made by Fidel at the ANPP can best be summed up in the following
phrase: Discouragement and defeatism are the only things that h
