Administrative Coordinator, The Southwest Center for Environmental Research and Policy (SCERP) at UT-El Paso. SCERP is a consortium of 9 U.S. and Mexican universities to develop near-term solutions to the serious environmental problems of the U.S.-Mexico border region. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in public administration, int'l relations, or other appropriate academic discipline; 3 years' progressive experience in managing or coordinating complex multidisciplinary programs in an academic or institutional setting; in-depth knowledge of U.S.-Mexico border environmental issues and U.S. legislative processes; bilingual Spanish-English. Call for papers. Symposium about Language and Society-Austin (SALSA), Fifth Annual Meeting, April 11-13, 1997, University of Texas at Austin. Call for papers. XX Symposium on Portuguese Traditions (Europe, America, Africa, Asia),Sunset Recreation Center, UCLA, April 19-20, 1997. Forum dedicated to the exchange and dissemination about the language and culture of the Portuguese speaking world.
