UC-San Diego Special Fellowships for Studies of Economic Integration and the U.S.-Mexico Border Environment. The Center for U.S.- Mexican Studies announces a call for interdisciplinary research proposals focusing on border environme
ntal issues relating to water, environmental health, natural resource management, and land-use. Researchers will participate as Visiting Research Fellows in the Center's ongoing project, "Economic Integration and the Environment: Promoting Sustainable Dev
elopment Along the U.S.-Mexican Border." Residential Fellowships will begin as early as Sept. 1999 and as late as Jan. 2000. Applications should include a research statement of 5-7 double-spaced pages, C.V., and a minimum of two letters of recommendation.
