Part-time GED Essay Scorer, UT-Austin, Lake Austin Centre. 12 hours/week (Tues., Thurs., and Fri.) scoring and evaluating the essay portion of the high school equivalency test. Positions available for scoring English only or English and Spanish essays. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree, experience teaching at the secondary or college level, and ability to write effectively. Spanish scorers must demonstrate fluency. FELLOWSHIPS, GRANTS, AND RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

Research Fellowship in Politics and Research Fellowship in International Politics/Political Economy at the University of Oxford Centre for Brazilian Studies, Oxford, England. Candidates for the first post should normally have completed a doctorate in political science, political sociology, or modern political history with reference to Brazil; for the second post, a doctorate in international politics (including environmental issues) or economics (including trade, finance, and regional integration) with reference to Brazil. The fellowships will be tenable for two years with the possibility of an extension of up to one year. Salary £16,286-£24,479 per annum. Available from April 1, 2000 or Oct. 1, 2000.
