FELLOWSHIPS, GRANTS, AND RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship, Latin American Studies Research Librarian, 2000-2001. The Center for International Library Programs at Duke University, supported by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, offers a 12-month postdoctoral fellowship for the training of Latin American Studies research librarians. Stipend is $39,000. Becas Rockefeller 2001: Identity and Youth-El Centro de Investigaciones Regionales de Mesoamérica (CIRMA) invites proposals from Central American nationals for projects addressing the relation between the construction of
identity and cultural trends among Central American youth. Fellowships are for $16,000, with residence in Antigua Guatemala during the period of the 8-month fellowship (Feb. 15-Oct. 14, 2001).
