The Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 consortium formed by Ogden from the US (33%), SEA from Milan, Italy (33%) and Argentine companies Corporación América Sudamericana (33%) and Riva Construcciones (1%), was awarded the tender for a 30-year concession for 33 of the country's airports. This group of companies proposed to pay the government a fee of US$ 171.12 million, four times the minimum laid down in the tender documents. The other two groups submitting bids were made up of companies from France, Germany, the UK, USA, Italy and Argentina.

Of these 33 airports, those with the most movement are Ezeiza international airport close to the city of Buenos Aires and Aeroparque, which operates within the city limits. Initially the top three consortia taking part in the bid tied in the technical aspect, and Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 then improved its original fee offer by US$ 53 million. Investment in works will be US$ 188 million more than the US$ 2,040 million indicated as a base in the tender documents. The work program of the new operators includes the transfer of the Aeroparque to Ezeiza because of difficulties in developing its current site and incompatibility with the needs of the city of Buenos Aires. The new operator will take over the running of these two main airports within not more than 90 days from the signing of the contract.
