Field Research Workshop

February 9, 2007

Since 2004, the Center for Latin American Social Policy (CLASPO) has organized a Field Research Workshop to help graduate students prepare for the field research experience, especially in areas of public policy research. The workshop is linked to our CLASPO summer funding in Latin America. This year, in addition to our summer research program, our funding opportunities include a human rights internship program. This new program is cosponsored by the Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice Internship in Human Rights in Latin America. For information about applying for these travel fellowships, please visit the CLASPO website.

Many of the presenters in our workshop are specialists in Latin America, but we are also now including speakers with research experience in the U.S. and other regions of the world. The event is especially helpful for people interested in learning more about field research (in any region) or about opportunities to work with development organizations in Latin America. We strongly encourage you to attend.

Sponsored by the LLILAS Center for Latin American Social Policy (CLASPO) and the Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice Internship in Human Rights in Latin America.

Free and open to the public.
